2021 was a wild year for weddings. One of last year’s trends I loved was the fruit trend! I saw so many couples incorporating fruit into their floral, and it brought out a whole new level of creativity in me! While I loved some of them, such as the fruit, there were also a few that I’m ready to leave behind.
So as we’re into the first part of 2022, I thought it was time to break down some of the wedding trends I see unfolding this calendar year. Let’s dive in!
You know I’ve been waiting for this one! Dried floral arrangements is something I’ve been passionate about since the panorama hit, and knowing that they are going to be trending this year gets me so excited! These florals are a great option for couples who want their flowers to last beyond their wedding day. Dried flowers can be incorporated in any way live flowers are, and it brings a whole new level of aesthetic to the day!
Note: Not interested in dried florals on your wedding day, but you still want to preserve your flowers afterwards? We’ve got your back! TFE offers flower preservation services, so your wedding flowers can live on. Message me HERE for more information!
Think poppies, daisies, and all the color! We’ve barely gotten into 2022, and I’m already seeing designs resembling this one. This trend brings in a lot of orange, yellow, and brown tones with bright pops of saturated color! Think orange suede couch & patterned wallpaper inspired color palettes.
Along with this trend, we’re seeing more of a “maximalist” style wedding. Think less neutrals and simple elements, and more creativity. It really is my cup of tea!
I truly thought we left this trend in 2021… but apparently it’s here to stay! Pampas grass has been a great way to add big and bold elements to a wedding design, all while using less blooms overall. It’s also perfect for the neutral color palette! While I love the look that pampas grass brings, I have some sad news… I’m allergic to it. So while this is a trend, it’s not one I’ll be able to work with in 2022!
Didn’t you hear? Terracotta + Rust is the new blush + burgundy! Personally, I’m here for this color combination. I foresee greenery and rust will be taking the stage, leading to simple, but bolder wedding choices. (Honestly that’s the dream here at TFE!) I’ve seen this color palette fit seamlessly with indoor and outdoor weddings alike, making it versatile for any couple.
Do you want a Cinderella wedding? It doesn’t have to have a cheesy carriage at the forefront! We can make it a vibe without being so on the nose – and that’s the trend I see headed our way this year. So many couples are wanting to incorporate themes that mean something to them, without it being over the top and obnoxious. Think themed, but still elevated!
Imagine a Cinderella wedding with a blue + white color palette, and glassware that resembles the glass of her slipper. Or imagine a Star Wars wedding, with neon lights added into the reception floral to give that extra punch. A theme does not have to mean tacky, and can see this becoming more and more prominent this year!

2022 is going to be an incredible year for wedding trends. I just know it!
