Over on Instagram, I recently talked about how your wedding elements work together. I had a lot more thoughts to share, so here they are! When you’re planning a wedding, there are so many options for choosing your vendors and it can totally be overwhelming! Here’s my biggest piece of advice: book vendors that work well together.
To give you an example, what if you’re going for a bright and colorful look? It would be in your best interest to hire a photographer with that style as well as a florist with that style! Your blooms can look like rainbow MAGIC, but if your photographer’s style is moody, your images might not reflect the vibe of how you imagined your day as a whole. They could be AMAZING vendors, it’s just important to remember that they need an ideal environment to work in, too.
See for yourself! Below are some examples of weddings I’ve worked on where the other elements really made my designs POP.

Because it can be overwhelming to find vendors during the whirlwind of wedding planning, I’d recommend asking one vendor you trust who they would recommend for your day. We work with others all the time, and we’re more than likely to have the inside scoop! Another plus of this is that if you book vendors that have experience working together, your day will go even MORE smoothly because they can communicate and coordinate more efficiently.
If you’re local to DFW, a suggestion for you is the Ruche Collective! I’ve got a booth at @theruchecollective, which is a variety of vendors set up in one building. When you pay them a visit, they’ll give you a private consultation to go over everything you need to know. Having a professional walk you through designing a cohesive event is one of the many reasons to give them a visit. The Ruche Collective is the perfect solution to alllll the things I’ve just covered.

Hear me out. This isn’t a blog post to discourage creativity or variety AT ALL. I’m all about gathering unique styles for your special day! At The Floral Eclectic, we’re sold out for anything but the ordinary. If you fall in love with a variety of vendors and you’re really set on them for different reasons, book away!
If you take away anything from this, it’s to be mindful about choosing your vendors and how they will work together. Imagining your event as one big puzzle with each part being a puzzle piece will keep you sane, and your vendors will thank you.
