As 2024 comes to a close, we’re taking a moment to reflect on an incredible year at The Floral Eclectic. From stunning weddings to unforgettable events and creative projects, this year has been filled with inspiring moments and blooms that brought our designs to life. As a Dallas-based florist, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with amazing clients, fellow creatives, and our loyal community to craft one-of-a-kind experiences. Join us as we look back at some of our favorite and most noteworthy projects of the year—each one a celebration of love, artistry, and the magic of flowers.
First Up, Bonnie and Evan’s wedding day at Stonecrest. Their day was a vibrant celebration filled with joyful colors and lush blooms. Designing their floral arrangements was a dream, especially with such a rich palette of coral, peach, and pops of electric pink. The coral charm peonies were a definite highlight, bringing an elegant fullness to the centerpieces and bouquets, while blue delphiniums added a fresh, unexpected contrast. I loved working with the playful mix of textures, like the delicate chamomile and bold orange snapdragons, to create designs that felt both sophisticated and spirited. Stonecrest’s natural beauty paired perfectly with these florals, making every arrangement come alive against the stunning backdrop.
Lacy and Joran’s wedding at Lucky Spur was nothing short of a showstopper. We blended bold florals with neon accents for a truly unique celebration. Designing their installations was an incredible experience, especially incorporating hot pink anemones, dark blue delphiniums, and striking fuchsia stock to complement the electric vibe. The painted palms and monstera leaves added a modern, edgy twist that paired beautifully with the venue’s rustic charm. I loved crafting the statement floral installations. These tied together the vivid neon details with lush greenery, creating a one-of-a-kind atmosphere. This wedding was such a fun and inspiring project to bring to life!
Designing the flowers for Olivia and Jack’s wedding at Trinity River Audubon Events was one of the most sentimental projects I’ve ever taken on. As their florist and best friend, I poured so much love into every arrangement. The stunning natural backdrop of the venue perfectly complemented the soft, romantic tones. We used Nexus and Kings Cross roses, accented with delicate chamomile and cosmos. Pops of mustard and peach carnations added warmth, while tweedia and muscari brought subtle hints of blue for a fresh yet timeless touch. These two people are so dear to me, and this day was so special special.
Last but certainly not least- Jon and Gwen’s wedding at The Texas Discovery Gardens. It was a celebration of color, joy, and creativity, and their florals perfectly reflected that spirit! Their jumbo arrangements featured an enchanting mix of roses, carnations, sweet peas, tulips, sahara roses, and hydrangeas, creating a lush and vibrant display. But the true showstopper was the jumbo butterfly installation—a whimsical, larger-than-life design that became the centerpiece of the celebration. This unique floral feature added a magical touch and tied in beautifully with the garden setting.
I absolutely loved working with their bold and bright color palette. It brought so much energy and personality to the day. The florals felt playful and joyful, much like Jon and Gwen themselves. Designing their blooms, especially the butterfly installation, was pure fun from start to finish. Seeing these statement pieces light up the venue and create unforgettable moments was such a rewarding experience!
2024 was a year for the books! Each of these weddings holds a special place in my heart for different reasons, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to bring these unique visions to life. From Bonnie and Evan’s vibrant and joyful celebration at Stonecrest to the bold, neon-infused fun of Lacy and Joran’s wedding at Lucky Spur, and finally, the deeply personal and sentimental florals for Olivia and Jack’s day at Trinity River Audubon Events, each wedding allowed me to showcase creativity in ways that reflect the personalities of the couples I worked with.
Designing these florals wasn’t just about the flowers; it was about telling their love stories through colors, textures, and installations.
