Drew & Lauren’s Backyard Elopement was one full of color! Katie and I for Gypsum Studio really loved taking on this backyard ceremony for Lauren and Drew’s smaller-scale ceremony. Tara Myers with Artisan Rose Event Co. was the planner on this event and has an amazing eye for all of the curated details.
Stay tuned for next year’s larger celebration at BRIK venue!
Our primary color inspiration was that of orange pop of orange babe spray roses! Dahlias were the star of this show and hearts roses, delphinium, and cosmos were amazing supporting actors.
Lauren and Tara really wanted rainbow prisms incorporated to keep it light and whimsy so we hunted down a chandelier company and found these amazing chandelier crystal prisms. We hand strung each prism with some iridescent beads and then hung each individual strand in Lauren’s parent’s backyard.
We created a ‘just picked” style bouquet inspired by picking flowers in a field.
From the rugs to the dress to the dinnerware, this intimate ceremony felt so lush and exciting but comfortable and homey at the same time.
A Sea of Love, a husband and wife photography duo, creates the most magical moments for their clients and Lauren and Drew’s wedding was no different. We love working with them for their true to color editing style and artistic take on each photo they shoot.
