Summer is here, which means it’s time for ALL the summer weddings. Summer is often THE busy season for wedding vendors, but even through all the craziness, there is one thing I’m super excited for: Seeing what wedding trends take off.
In the age of social media, trends tend to come and go faster than ever. One day, everyone is raving over a certain wedding, and then next, they’re off to bigger and wilder things. I thought it was time to slow down and chat about what I’m excited to see in the wedding world this summer. (As well as some I’m hoping stay longer than just this season!) Let’s dive in to summer wedding inspo!
The fruit inspired weddings have been around for a hot minute! I designed one about a year ago that turned out amazing. This year, I’m hoping to see specifically citrus inspired! This trend brings a lot of bright oranges, yellows, and reds into the color palette, which opens the door for some freaking cool floral.
Overall this trend is just super wholesome, and lets my creativity run wild. The citrus can also inspire the rest of the wedding planning, such as desserts, appetizers, and other decor!
Speaking of wholesome, I’m so in love with the big bloom trend. I think it’s time the big and bold blooms take the stage, and I’m here to design ALL the arrangements around it.
Big flowers like roses, peonies, and dahlias (my favorite!) are not only gorgeous, but they really hold the “wow” factor when it comes to elevating your entire wedding experience. If you’re looking for florals that will keep your guests talking for months and months to come, then this is the trend for you!
This trend is less about the flowers, and more about the entire experience. Wedding weekends are where the entire weekend is a party, not just one night! We often see this with weddings outside of the US, but I’m excited to see this trend taking the stage as couples decide to make their wedding more of an experience for their guests.
Wedding weekends also give more flexibility with timelines, decorations, and food. Instead of a few hours, and the event is over, you’re really getting to spend time with your people, and soak up every minute. This is one trend I hope is here to stay!
These are just a few of the wedding trends I’m looking forward to this summer. Which are you going for? Check out Pinterest, or better yet, shoot me a DM and let me brainstorm with you. In case you haven’t noticed, this is my jam.
