It’s the Floral Eclectic’s favorite time of year. Spooky season is in full swing, and today we’re throwing it back to one of my spookiest shoots yet.
Last year, I got together with Sara Boyd Photography & Narrative Events Co to put on this amazing editorial shoot. In true TFE fashion, saturated colors stole the show while we casted our best floral spells ✨
I’ve gotta say- the combination of dry ice, potion props, and blooms made for a magical shoot. These dazzling arrangements are proof that holiday-inspired florals don’t have to be boring, and can still be colorful!
We went with dried branches, aloha roses, kangaroo paw, and faux venus fly traps. The dark background really made them pop. I practically dream about the main installation daily because the looming tree branch added the witchiest touch. Something strange even happened as we were setting it up…
Black candles and floral test tubes lined our table setup, with lots of potions scattered throughout. Our amazing model wore a tulle robe with a witch hat, of course.
Looking back on this shoot has got me thrilled for Halloween, and for the holiday season in general. I love pulling inspiration from celebrations, and putting a unique Floral Eclectic twist on holiday-inspired blooms. Follow along and stay tuned to see what else I create this holiday season!
Interested in hosting a holiday-inspired event? I can help you take it to the next level with florals.
