When people ask what I do, the easiest answer is that I’m a florist. It’s true. I design wedding flowers, create large-scale installations, and spend most of my days surrounded by blooms. But lately, I’ve realized that answer doesn’t fully capture what my business has become or where it’s headed as a Dallas event florist.

If you’ve been around for a while, you’ve probably noticed that my work has never fit neatly into one category. I’ve always gravitated toward colorful weddings, sculptural installations, and the kinds of designs that make people stop in their tracks. I love when guests walk into a room, look around, and immediately ask, “Wait…how did they do that?” Those moments of surprise have always been my favorite part of this job.
For a long time, I thought that was simply my design style. The more I reflected on it, though, the more I realized it’s actually the heart of my business.
Flowers have never been just flowers to me.
They’re a way to tell a story and a way to transform an ordinary room into something unforgettable. They’re an invitation for people to slow down, look around, and experience a space in a completely different way.

Over the last several years, I’ve watched countless weddings and events come together. I’ve seen couples worry about choosing the “right” flowers because they’re afraid of breaking tradition. And I’ve seen clients hesitate over bold colors because they wonder if they’ll be timeless enough. I’ve heard people apologize for wanting something different before they’ve even shared their ideas.
Somewhere along the way, weddings and events became filled with rules that no one remembers creating. We scroll through Pinterest and Instagram until everything begins to look the same. We convince ourselves that there are certain flowers we’re supposed to choose, certain colors we’re supposed to use, and certain trends we’re supposed to follow.
I don’t believe any of that.
What I’ve come to realize is that my work has always been about permitting people. Permission to choose the funky flowers, permission to embrace color, permission to skip the trends altogether, permission to create something that feels personal instead of popular.
Because the truth is, no one remembers whether your flowers were blush, ivory, orange, or burgundy.
They remember how your wedding felt.

They remember the ceremony that looked unlike any they’d attended before. And they remember walking into a reception that completely transformed the room. They remember the installation they couldn’t stop photographing and the details they kept talking about weeks later. Long after the flowers have faded, the experience stays with them.
That’s what inspires me.
I’ve always been fascinated by the way color, texture, movement, and scale affect the way people experience a space. A room can evoke excitement, nostalgia, curiosity, comfort, or joy simply because of the way it’s designed. The right floral installation doesn’t just decorate a venue—it changes how people move through it, interact with it, and remember it.
As a Dallas event florist, I’ve realized that my role extends far beyond selecting beautiful blooms. Every project is an opportunity to shape an atmosphere, tell a story, and create moments that people carry with them long after the event is over. That kind of emotional impact is what I want to create more of.

It’s why I find myself dreaming beyond bouquets and centerpieces. It’s why I get excited about suspended floral installations, custom fabrications, immersive event design, and unexpected materials. Those projects challenge me creatively while giving clients something entirely their own. They become conversation starters. They become part of the story people tell long after the event is over.
As The Floral Eclectic continues to grow, so does my vision for what this business can be.
Yes, weddings will always have my heart. Helping couples create celebrations that feel deeply personal is something I’ll never stop loving. But I also want to partner with brands launching new products, businesses creating memorable customer experiences, companies hosting immersive events, and creatives who believe design should leave people feeling inspired.
Being a Dallas event florist today means so much more than designing wedding centerpieces. It means collaborating with brands, planners, creative teams, and businesses to transform spaces into experiences that spark conversation and leave lasting impressions. Whether the project is a luxury wedding, a corporate celebration, or a brand activation, I approach each one with the same goal: to create something people have never seen before.

Looking ahead, I hope The Floral Eclectic becomes known for more than beautiful flowers. I hope it’s recognized for fearless creativity, thoughtful design, and experiences that couldn’t have belonged to anyone else. I want every client to feel empowered to choose what speaks to them instead of what the internet tells them they should like.
As a Dallas event florist, I believe flowers are simply the medium. The real work is creating experiences that make people stop, smile, connect, and remember. That’s the legacy I want The Floral Eclectic to build, and it’s the future I’m incredibly excited to create.
Flowers will always be fleeting. That’s part of their beauty. They bloom, they create joy, and eventually they fade. But the memories created around them can last a lifetime.
If my work can help someone feel seen, inspired, surprised, or completely immersed in a moment, then I’ve done exactly what I set out to do.
The Floral Eclectic has never really been about flowers.
It’s always been about creating experiences worth remembering.
And honestly, we’re just getting started.
