Food Themed Weddings I Think Would Be Iconic
If you’ve followed me on socials at all in the last year, then you know I love talking about wedding themes. A lot of people turn up their nose at the idea of a themed wedding but I’m here to tell you that themes do not have to be cheesy. They can be elegant and classy, while also highlighting bits and pieces of things that you love! Keep on reading for some of my favorite wedding themes that I think would be iconic for any couple.
Note: You have to trust me on this one. Some of them might sound random, but I know there’s a couple out there who would be obsessed! Let’s dive in.
Lasagna
For the Italian food obsessed couple! This wedding theme is perfect for a winter wedding, and especially when you’re wanting to make your meal the star of the show!
The florals would include some neutral tones, with pops of red and green! I’d also incorporate some fresh basil into the bouquets for a special touch. For the ceremony installation, I’d channel my inner pasta and design an arrangement based off of that.
Potato
Now this is a theme I think everyone can get on board with. It’s delicious, fun, and even gluten free! Potatoes are such a universal food, so I think we should translate that into a wedding. This is the perfect theme for a couple looking for a neutral color palette, but with a twist! We’re sticking with the oranges and yellows, but adding in some pops of green to pull it all together.
For the ceremony installation, I love the lush organic vibes, but you can’t forget the abundance of potatoes! This also sets the stage for the most delicious potato spread at the reception or happy hour.
Ice Cream
Wishing for a summer wedding that’s totally sweet? Look no further than an ice cream inspired day. This wedding theme is perfect for the couples looking to stay cool, but also bright and colorful. For this theme I went with a pastel color palette and lots of large textural, puffy flowers.
For the ceremony arrangements, I think it would be so cool to keep the ice cream theme going with ice cream cone containers, and bright pops of color!
Ironically, all of these themes turned out to be food. Maybe I’m just hungry right now?! Regardless, themes are a great way to bring a new personality to your wedding day.
